I was even thinking of allowing students to practice their spelling words for homework using Maily. Instead of writing it in their journal one night, they could send it through Maily. Here is an example I did:
While surfing the internet I came across a new free iPad app called Maily. Maily is especially designed for kids from 4 years old and up and allows your kids to send quirky, personalized emails to mom and dad, their grandparents or close friends easily, rapidly, and securely. So why not send a note, message, or fun picture to your teacher too? I was even thinking of allowing students to practice their spelling words for homework using Maily. Instead of writing it in their journal one night, they could send it through Maily. Here is an example I did: I also wrote a story in Maily and sent it to myself to give it a try: Click the button for the link to Maily: If your family has an iPad accessible to your child, let me know if you would be interested in trying it out. I love to receive notes and pictures from the students and what a fun way to introduce technology and do homework one night! -Ms. Heggi
