Wow! This school year is flying by! With only 12 school days left we have a lot of end of the year activities coming up. Please bring in cereal boxes as well as books to donate to our summer book swap. Last week we received 2 tadpoles for our classroom while we learned about life cycles. The students voted for names. Meet 'Jim' and 'May'. Last, I finally had my wedding this past weekend. Now, as one of the students said, I am a 'grown up' ;)

On Friday we took a field trip to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. The weather cleared up and it was a beautiful day to see some animals.
Thanks to all the chaperones who helped out to make it a successful trip :)
May has been filled with many fun events and we have only been in May for about a week! Last Friday we had our Mexican fiesta to celebrate all that we have learned about Mexico. We made paper serapes, a bolero game, danced, ate chips and salsa, made paper flowers, and topped it off with a piñata! It was a great day :)
This week has been such an exciting week for me. I am feeling loved by all the students and parents for Teacher Appreciation week. The week is not even over and I just have to share some fun pics so far.
I must say walking into the classroom and seeing 18 of my faces definitely woke me up (haha). Thank you to all my students and parents!!
Now we are looking forward to the zoo field trip on Friday :) We love May!! |
We will be using this blog to display things we do in school. From class projects to experiments and more, we will be able to post about it here. Archives
